The best advertising anyone can provide for their website is SEO articles. Writing these articles can be a great way to expand your reach and grab more traffic than ever before. SEO article writing will put the power in your hands to create quality content for your website that will improve your traffic stats from day one.

If you are a person that can write readable content quickly, you can easily use SEO article writing to promote your website. What you will need are just a few keywords and some ideas on how to create content around that. First, keyword optimization is the most important thing to learn. You will be using keywords in order to get the content noticed, so make sure that you use them well.

Over using keywords in SEO article writing is a big mistake. If you fill the content so full of keywords that it is unreadable, no one is going to pay any attention to it and it will not bring any new traffic to your site.

To optimize your SEO article writing strategies, you will want to learn how to write SEO articles within the right parameter. First, you will want to choose the right keyword to use. Think about your site and what you would type into a search engine in order to get to that site. Then, you will want to come up with some similar keywords and write articles around those as well.

SEO article writing should be done in place of other advertising strategies. Do not bother to waste your time and money on strategies that just don’t work. Instead, use a steady flow of SEO article writing as content on your site or in other places around the internet to drive traffic right where you want it.

In order to SEO article writing to work, the content must be written to inform people. Also, you do not want to stuff the article so full of keywords that there is no real content there. Instead, you want to use the keyword at least once per paragraph in order to get a nice balance throughout the article.

When writing articles, you also want to think about what kind of keywords to use. If you were looking for a site like yours, what keyword would you use? Take this idea and play with it. Are there other ways to phrase the same keyword in order to get results? You will also want to think about keywords that may come up less often, but will still work.

SEO article writing is the best advertising for your site. Not only does it cost less than any other advertising strategies, it also puts less pressure on you to find all that new traffic. With SEO article writing, all you have to do is write the articles and let the traffic come to you.

I noticed today that Google has made a subtle change on the Google trends graphs. For those unfamiliar with Google trends, it’s a free service that sometimes gives insights into search numbers for some keywords. It has usually failed me for more than 3 words keyphrases, or any low searched phrases.

But for referance sake, you could look at “Acrylic Paint” and expect about 500 uniques a day if you were in the #1 position. Similar “Secret” key keywords are “Type 2 diabetes?” and “Male Yeast Infection”. All three have about the same search numbers year round, year after year.

Now, the cool thing is that Google has added a tiny graph bar to the results and is telling me that my smaller keyword = 1.00 And that my second keyword phrase is now rated at “38″. Using my Algebraic skillset, a calculator, a Hershey bar, 2 pencils and a white board…. I reckon that means if my smaller keyphrase was 100 searches per day, then the other one would be 3800 searches per day. They even have added a little drop down box to change the reference keyword to one of your other phrases. You can test up to three keyphrases at one time using commas between them.

How accurate is the Google Trends info? After doing the math, I found the search numbers were in the same ball park as WordTracker. So with the two giving the same results, I’d say they are both somewhat accurate.

Now that I’ve given away three Super Secret Search Keywords, you are free to figger out from Google Trends how many searches a site would get, per day, in the #1 spot. For your reference, this number is about 4 times higher than Google or wordtracker reports. But that has to do with all the other work that goes into getting the #1 spot.

Finding The Best URL For Your Website. Part 2
May 21, 2008 · Filed Under Main Content
Of course I snapped myself up a 3rd Gen iPod as soon as I could.

Image via Wikipedia

Why would I have new knowledge on this? I’m on a Wordpress 100 binge. There is a sale at Domain Sheffif. Sure, Dot Info is not the coolest. But it suits my purposes.

OK…so should we go after that BIG KEYWORD? Are you drooling over it? OK be aware that others are drooling to. There are words farther down the screen that have LESS competition and convert to sales BETTER. What ever your keyword tool is, take note of the traffic farther down the list.

If you go for a BIG keyword on the top, like “IPOD” you may get say 12,000 hits per day. (That number is Just for Fun)

And the competition is 33.8 million competitors.
( Again, just an example)

See, awhile back I was looking through the numbers, and I found this great keyword phrase “signs of diabetes”. competition was very low, and in fact, I was looking around and I found a website that had expired called signs of diabetes.com. But wait a minute. is that phrase profitable? That this tool you can use, my treat:

Detecting Online Commercial Intention

Naturally the first question is how accurate is this thing? I can tell you I have not had a problems with it. I think it’s dead accurate. That particular keyword phrase does not look like it’s very profitable, and the fact that I found the extra URL floating around that had expired suggests that somebody had already tried it out.

But getting back to our ipod…let’s look down a bit and see if we can do some quick numbers.

There is only half the traffic for the Plural form of ipod, but take a look at the competition. It’s one twentieth. Meaning you multiply the one point seven times 20, and you get a number of its just about 33.8. So instead of working 20 times as hard, let’s only work twice as hard. We can build to or three websites, which is more trouble granted, but it’s not 20 times as much work. Plus, we can be number one in three different categories and have our ego stroked. Instead of going after the numb for one prize, and just sure, somebody will be going after us.

So just after this chart we have our next tool…
ipod
(click to dig deeper into this keyword)     per Day     12,215     Competition     33,800,000
ipods
(click to dig deeper into this keyword)         4,918         1,700,000
The Keyword-Rich Domain Suggestion Tool

Plugging in the phrase Apple Ipod ….it turns out that appleipodearphones.com is available. Hey, If not, put a 4 in front of it. Or a “2′ before earphones. You look around with this tool and decided if you see some other good URLs that might make good investments. But whatever you do…

Don’t let your Uncle Earl tell you that they broke the mold after he was born.

There are still ton’s of great URL’s left.

Think short and smart.

Finding the best URL for your Website. Part 1
May 21, 2008 · Filed Under Main Content

A friend of mine covered this topic, but I have a lot of research to share on this. First off, James Brausch has a product called Nemeas that evaluates your URL for Ranking Factors and gives it a score based on a compilation of ten of thousands of top ranking URL’s.

Much of what will tend to rank well is not obvious, so the more you experiment, the more you learn. One discovery of mine was that adding “My” at the beginning of any URL gave it a high score. Does Google CARE about the word “My”?

I don’t think so.
My research suggests that URL’s with the word “My” at the beginning TEND to rank higher because they TEND to have a person updating them once in a while.

Google DOES care about updates. Very much. I have made multiple changes to a blog post and found it ranking very high within hours. Most likely because the same keywords were re-posted with each modification I made and “fresh” content ranks higher.

What else ranks well? SHORT URL’s. The shorter your URL the better. In fact 3 letter URLs rank the best for multiple keywords. The reason being, the less “interference” the better. Don’t go looking for those though. There aren’t any left. You can always add on a number though. If your a brit BBC103.COM is available! And it has a nice ring to it.

If your topic is “Sports figures in Canada” then that’s a good URL for you. Just be aware that it doesn’t help you rank for the athlete’s names. If ranking all the names are your goal, then SFG.com will work just fine. Or SFG100.com. Any number from 0 to 200 can be added to a URL and not interfere with ranking, according to the software. Some numbers help.  The easier to remember, the better off you are.  100 works better than 167.  This4You.com is great.  “TractorTires4u” is great if ” TractorTires.com is taken.
Let me go to BlueRazor and check…

TRACTORTIRES4U.COM is available!

See?  There ya go.   Keyword, Ranking, and “branding” all at the same time.
A Trifecta!

“Ease of use” seems to be a factor.  Flowers4u.com is easy to remember and scores well too.

What else ranks well? That main page. The index page for that URL ranks better than any other page. The suggestion here is to keep your sites smaller with more content on each page. For the most part, the URL is only going to help the home page rank well.

All this is assuming that you are planning to use keywords in your URL.

Another advantage to keywords in the URL is that any “URL” link will also include keywords pointing back to your webpage. That’s a proven advantage.

So don’t get trapped in the mindset that “All the good .coms are gone.”

You can find good ones. I KNOW you can!
