If you have the keywords in your domain, then your anchor text will be guaranteed to be your keywords.

I like to use Hotels.com as my example. This site ranks in the first position for the word hotels. May I add that the word Hotels is one of the most competitive, highly searched terms on the Internet. The reason they rank this high is because most people link to them with hotels.com as the anchor text. This guarantees them that their anchor text on links contains the word hotels. By registering a domain with your keywords in it, this guarantees the anchor text in all links to your site has the keywords in it that you desire.

Google gives no preference to sites with the keywords in their domain. What I mean is, just because you have the keywords in your domain, does not make Google or any other search engine think your site is more relevant. That’s where content and links serve a purpose. Just because you don’t have the keywords in your domain does not mean you can’t rank well for keywords. It only means that when people naturally link to you, they may not have the anchor text you want. The link is still valuable.

Case and point is my newest site http://www.article-submission-express.com. I have went out and built my links with the anchor text article submissions. At the point of writing this article, about 17 days after putting the site online, I rank on page 11 for article submissions as the keyword. Article submission, however, which is my domain name is not ranking my site anywhere on Google. I only focus on one keyword at a time, even though my guru friends state that we should try to rank for many small keywords at a time. I like to think of search engines as humans and their patents prove that is what they are mimicking. Humans can only focus on one thing at a time. I feel that the concentration of my focus to particular keywords will allow me to not only get rankings for several keywords over time, but allow me to monitor the results and make sure that efforts towards other rankings don’t damage my current rankings.

So to conclude my article, if you already registered your domain, that is fantastic. Leave that domain exactly as is. Do not go out and get another domain because your domain doesn’t have keywords in it. If you do this you could even get your site penalized if Google sees the same content on the two domains. They have duplicate content filters, which is why my article submission methods are so effective. Just stick to that domain and do things like article submission to a bunch of directories with your keywords in the anchor text. These are all one way links that will only help you, and you set the anchor text.

All you have to do is have an idea about what you are doing and you can make money from marketing with articles. I think any expert would agree that article marketing is the best form of marketing on the internet right now. It is free and it has a huge impact on search engine results. I use it to promote my websites all the time. I get results in the search engines from publishing articles and then move up. I think article marketing is a valuable use of your time. While we don’t often think about - or care - how Google works, it is very important for marketer who is using SEO, or natural search engine positioning to market their Internet business, to understand the basic principles that drive Google.

There are three main parts to Google: Googlebot, The Indexer, and the Query Processor. Each of these three parts is crucial to online businesses, believe it or not. Let’s take a deep look at each of these Google elements to see how they work.

Googlebot is the search engine robot that comes to your website and spiders your pages.

It actually works more like a web browser by calling a server and requesting pages, and downloading them - just as you do when you open your web browser, type in an web page address, and the page loads.

Googlebot, however, is run by numerous computers and performs this task much faster than one user could on their home or work computer. Googlebot also doesn’t know that a website exists until a URL is put into their Add URL form, or until they find a link to that website on another web page.

When Googlebot visits a page, they take all the links from that page, and put them in a queue for crawling, and just repeat this process over and over again. Once Googlebot has found a link, and downloaded the page, it hands that page off to the Indexer.

The Indexer stores the pages in Google’s Index Database. The Index then sorts all of the pages in its data base, alphabetically, by looking at all of the keywords on the pages. The Indexer does not pay any attention to what Google calls stop words, such as is, on, or, why, how, etc. It just pays attention to more important keyword type words.

The Indexer, after Indexing pages, waits for the Google Query Processor to ask it for a list of documents. A keyword is given to the Query Processor, which in turn asks the Indexer for a list of stored websites contain that keyword.

The Indexer then supplies the Query processor with a list of the documents, and the Query processor presents the documents to the user who requested the keyphrase.

You see, each element is important to the others. It all starts with the Googlebot finding your web page link on another site, or by you going to Google and using the Add form to submit your site.
