If building the website is part of your contract, then before launching the product, make sure your client likes the site. The client can pretend to be a customer and look around. If they aren’t happy, or find any bugs, be optimistic and try to meet their needs the best you can without compromising the success of your product launch.
Once your work is complete, you need to show your client how to manage their site and any other services that they may be using. Making your clients happy is one of the keys to success. As you do more and more work, your name will start to grow as a copywriter, and as your name grows you can raise your prices. Great success is certainly possible as a freelance copywriter. It only depends on the work you put into your business and time you spend making sure your client is happy.
Your hard work will pay itself off, and you get to enjoy being part of successful products. Knowing that you played an integral part in a successful product is very rewarding by itself.
